Helpful Hints
There are several options for canceling a booking. Make sure that you choose the correct option for your situation.
Cancellation Fees
For North America Only
- Check your brochure for the cancellation fee schedule. Cancellation fees begin the day after the final payment date. There are no cancellation fees up to final payment date.
- If the booking is made close to sailing (during the cancellation fee period), the cancellation fees will begin as soon as the booking is paid.
- If there are cancellation fees applied to the booking and your clients have purchased the Princess Travel Care, advise them to contact the Princess Travel Care desk at (800) 453-4069 to file a claim.
For UK Only
Bookings that are cancelled before balance due date (90 days prior to departure) will lose the deposit paid when the booking was made.

Cruise Ahead Bookings
Different cancellation terms apply to these bookings. It must be made clear to the passenger that the standard terms and conditions do not apply to these bookings:
- For bookings cancelled 42 days or more before departure, a 45% cancellation charge will apply
- Cancelling between D-41 days and D-16 will incur a charge of 75%
- Cancelling between D-15days and D- 6 will incur a charge of 90%
- Cancelling at D-6 until departure will be charged at 100%
Transferring Money
For North America Only
If you cancel the booking and the money is to be transferred to another existing booking, be sure to choose the correct option from the drop down menu, and then call Princess to have the money transferred. If you want to cancel the booking and make a new booking to which the money should be applied, it is best to use the Rebook feature because the money will automatically transfer to the new booking
Refunds
For North America Only
Agency Check Payments
Refunds from monies paid by agency check (less any applicable cancellation fees) will be returned to the agency through NPC. These refunds generally take two to three weeks for processing.
Client Credit Card Payment
Refunds from monies paid by credit card (less any applicable cancellation fees) are charged back to the credit card. These refunds can take four to six weeks for processing.
For UK Only
Refunds are returned back to you, the agent, in the same way as the original payment was taken:
ABTA Agents (who pay on a weekly direct debit (sps)
- Refunds can be claimed on your weekly file
TTA and Deed of Bond Agreement Agents
- Refunded by cheque
Credit Agents
- You can claim credits back on your monthly statements
Credit Card Agreement Agents
- Commission refunded to you by cheque
- Monies due to the passenger are refunded to the credit card the payment was made with
Canceling the Booking
For North America Only
- Select the appropriate option from the drop down menu.
- Cancel = cancel the booking and have any monies refunded, less any applicable cancellation fees.
- Cancel a Waitlist = waitlisted bookings can only be cancelled using this option.
- Transfer Money = cancel the booking and have any monies transferred to an existing booking, less any applicable cancellation fees.
- Click the CANCEL BOOKING button.
- If you choose the “Transfer Money” option, call Princess to have the money transferred to the appropriate booking.
Transferring A Booking
For UK Only
In some instances, rather than cancel the booking, your passenger may be interested in transferring their booking to another cruise. The booking may be transferred under the following circumstances:
- It is before the balance due date of the current booking
- The new booking is of a greater value
- The new cruise sails within 12 months of the original departure date
Please note if the booking is transferred a £100 administration fee will apply.
